Mandolore - two virtuoso mandolin players & their collection of a dozen or so mandos for an evening of pared down perfect music.

Brian Taheny emigrated to Canada with his wife Loretto Reid and family, in December 1988; from Sligo, one of the most famous musical counties for traditional music in Ireland. Brian plays Fiddle, Tenor Banjo, Guitar, Irish Bouzouki, Cittern, Mandolin, Mandola, Mandocello, Dobro and Bass guitar, and is also known for his innovative arrangements of traditional tunes. Brian has built a solid reputation for himself as an extremely accomplished Celtic musician with strong and uniquely distinctive style.

Andrew’s knowledge of music reaches into many other genres including, classical, old-time, swing and celtic. He is a founding member of several of Canada’s top acoustic string bands, including the Creaking Tree String Quartet, The Foggy Hogtown Boys and Crazy Strings.
