The Flying Cloud Folk Club has Rats! Bilge Rats, that is, and honourary Rats, too. On hearing of Nonie Crete's illness, the Bilge Rats and Jim Armour & friends offered to fill the evening with their own special brand of musical tomfoolery and shenanigans.
The singing incarnation of the Toronto Morris Men takes to the stage for an evening of raucous shanties, lovely ballads, and of course, a lot of surprises. An anarchic group that has appeared on stage and in countless unsuspecting pubs across Southern Ontario, they take their singing seriously but could never be accused of taking themselves seriously! Their love of song and a great chorus has armed them with a repertoire that reflects the zest and appreciation of good company and good sustenance. The Bilge Rats are a boisterous, exuberant, and unforgettable presence. No need to dress up for this special night but don't forget to bring your voice. You'll be expected to join in the chorus! |
