October 21st: 4:30: Craig; Morgan; Robson

$20/18

  craig;morgan;robson

British acapella sensation. Craig; Morgan; Robson are Moira Craig, Sarah Morgan, and Carolyn Robson. Three terrific voices come together in an outstanding acapella harmony group, which has an effortless range and variety unheard of in folk music for many years. Timeless songs of love and longing rub shoulders with compelling contemporary songs, and passionate, dramatic ballads take their place alongside a lilting Shetland melody or a stirring hymn from the Ozark mountains. The occasional solo song only adds to the variety of their overall performance. Here is a trio in which three distinctively different voices melt into one another to create a sound which is all their own. Their glorious and often intensely moving harmony singing, combined with the warmth of their stage presence, has been aptly described as a mix made in heaven. http://www.cmr-harmony.org.uk/

$20/18

  ginny and tracy

American traditional music duo Sunday, October 21, 2007 7:30 pm, doors open at 7:00. Although Ginny Hawker and Tracy Schwarz have been singing together only 16 years, their strong, soul-stirring singing makes you feel their devotion to the place from which their music springs. As they wrap their songs in stories of the people and the places of the music, audiences are transported to another time when life was more real and families were held close. Their harmonies are hair-raising and representative of the finest American traditional music. In concert, Ginny and Tracy will cover everything from the beautiful unaccompanied ballads of the south to early Bluegrass duets to the songs of The Carter Family. You'll hear fiddle tunes, gospel songs as done in rural families, even some classic country songs. What their concerts will lack is "fillers." Every song they do means something special to them and will invite you to join them in the celebration of Appalachian heritage. The Backstabbers will open. www.ginnyandtracy.com

We are offering both concerts on October 21 for one price of $35 to anyone who purchases their tickets by October 14
